EXPERIENCE SOLAR HOT WATER SOLUTIONS
Solarponics has installed over 3,000 solar water-heating systems on the Central Coast. The cost of hot water varies by fuel used i.e. electricity, propane or natural gas. However, hot water is approximately 40% of your heating bill. We can offset your water heating bill by over 70% with a solar hot water system.
FEEL THE LUXURY OF RADIANT IN-FLOOR HEATING
Save maximum heating dollars while achieving maximum comfort with a radiant in-floor heating system. Radiant heat is a simple and efficient concept: instead of pumping heated air through your space, we run hydronic tubes through the sub floor or slab, heating the floor itself, which then radiates heat up into the room. Radiant is simple and quiet, because there are no fans to force cooked air through your house. Solarponics, Inc. is the only radiant contractor on the central coast to be certified both for design and installation by the Radiant Panel Association.
Consider the luxury of in-floor heating. Visit the Solarponics show room and you will have an opportunity to remove your shoes and walk across various surfaces such as tile, marble, bamboo, eucalyptus, granite and travertine; and experience the solar radiant heat as it warms the different surfaces. Solarponics offers radiant heating for both new and existing homes.
SOLAR ELECTRIC OPTIONS
Electricity has become a very expensive energy source. Often, by using Solar Electricity you can let your utility bill savings pay for your solar system and minimize or eliminate future bill increases. Solar electric panels, also called photovoltaic (PV) panels, directly convert sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect. This power is converted to alternating current (AC) by an inverter, so that it can be used by your regular appliances, and fed back into the power grid. From here, the power goes to your residential meter, where, if you generate more power than you use, the meter may be spun backwards. This means that you make power through solar during the day, and use power at night or on cloudy days, saving you considerable expense in power bills.
DISCOVER SOLAR POOL HEATING
The average Solarponics Solar Pool Heating customer starts swimming in early April and continues late into October. With average weather and a covered pool, you can be swimming in Minimum 80°F -90°F water with a Solarponics heated pool. This will ensure maximum enjoyment of your pool. Our designs do vary, as they're tailored to each pool's needs, but our method has been tried and tested continually for the last 33+ years.
PUT THE WIND TO WORK FOR YOU WITH WIND POWER
For those lucky few that have an average wind speed of 12mph, we offer the Skystream 3.7 Wind Generator, a wind-powered generator designed to run quietly and to produce clean electricity even at very low wind speeds. Our highly trained installers are certified by South West Wind Power.
IMAGINE THE OPTIONS WITH HYBRID SYSTEMS
Solarponics has one of the oldest continuously operating hybrid homes in the nation. Continuously operating since 1977 this home uses Solar Assisted In-Floor Radiant Heating, Solar Water Heating, Solar Electricity and Wind Power to offset 90% of its electric and propane use.
