Product Spotlight: X-Grass/Softrak
X-Grass is known as "Revolutionary Synthetic Turf." The new X-Grass products are constructed with state of the art monofilament fiber technology. A blend of polyethylene polymers is used to create a monofilament fiber that is durable and emulates blades of natural grass.
The term "Xeros" (pronounced zi-ros) originates from the Greek language, and means dry, or without moisture. Xero-scaping, or landscaping with little need for water is becoming a widely accepted practice in much of the southwestern United States. However, until now, it has not included lush green grass.
With X-Grass, all products are delivered ready to install, and are constructed to look like natural grass. Intended uses of X-Grass include: a natural grass alternative, playground areas, first cut / fringe simulation, walkways, cart paths, commercial lawn areas, and curb frontage.
